Color transfer refers to the phenomenon where dyes from clothing seep into and stain the surface of a product. This commonly occurs when the product comes into direct contact with certain types of materials, such as post-dyed fabrics (like denim or other items that may bleed color when washed), synthetic resin-based fabrics, or rubber parts used in garments. Since clothing comes in a wide variety of materials, it’s difficult to identify every type that might cause color transfer. However, special caution should be taken with dark-colored items, garments without washing labels, or any of the materials mentioned above.
